Description Factory firmware for the Neo Jukebox (Neo 25 GII).

Changes And New Features:

  • Bug in Balance or BASS setting: fixed. ID3 displays if "ID3 Off" : Fixed.
  • Treble levels where set to zero after turning the unit off instead of remembering the last settings: Fixed
  • Neo Jukebox (Neo 25IIG) : max 2048 songs in playlist, max 2048 in folder
  • HIDDEN and SYSTEM folder are no longer shown in the display.
  • With Neo JUKEBOX we now have a resume function. Each time you go into pause, the player saves the position in the track. If you turn it off it will resume at this position when you turn it on again (don't press stop before you turn off). Press Pause.
  • In the menu there now is the option to leave the backlight on all the time. - Great for night driving or DJs.

    Queue function is now working!
    While listening to a song, you can browse another folder or album and search for the next song to play after the current playing song. Press play for 2 seconds on the selected song. A little "+" sign will appear between playing and total time in the display.

  • Instructions

    The following are directions on how to upgrade the firmware on your Neo Car Jukebox mp3 player. Before you begin, please make sure a decompression utility is already installed on your system such as Winzip. Winzip can be found at www.winzip.com. Please read the directions fully before you begin.

    Installation Procedure:
    1. Download and extract the firmware update to your desktop or a temp directory (please remember which directory you saved the file to).
    2. Power On the Neo Jukebox and wait until the title screen has finished loading.
    3. Plug the USB cable into the Neo Jukebox and into your computer’s USB port.
    4. You should now see “Removable Drive” under “My Computer”. Double click on it to open up that drive.
    5. Find and delete the file: “neo25d.bin”. If you cannot find the mentioned file, proceed to the next step.
    6. Power Off the Neo Jukebox and disconnect the USB cable.
    7. Power On the Neo Jukebox and wait a few seconds (about 10 seconds).
    8. Reconnect the USB cable to your Neo Jukebox.
    9. Copy the new firmware (file that you downloaded earlier) into the “Removable Drive” folder (Neo Jukebox).
    10. Power Off your Neo Jukebox once more and disconnect the USB cable.
    11. Hold the “Program” button on your Neo Jukebox and hit the Power On switch AT THE SAME TIME. Menu will show, press "Play",select the "Update Neo Car Jukebox fr. HD" and press play again and press the Program button.
    12. You should see an “Update in Progress” screen.
    13. After it is done updating, It will Power Off and restart automatically.
    14. Your new OS Firmware version (2.20b etc.) should appear on the title screen.
    15. Congratulations, You have now completed your Neo Jukebox OS Upgrade.
    16. Done!

    Description Universal USB Drivers for all Neo MP3 Players including but not limited to, Neo-35, Neo-45, Neo 25 (all versions) and Neo 2100/2200
    Instructions

    Neo Car Jukebox users: Prior to downloading these drivers, please press the reset button located on the back of the USB bay, near the USB connector. This will attempt to re-enable the USB connection. Please allow at least thirty seconds for the OS to redetect the drive letter. If this does not work, you may download this driver.

    This is the latest version USB driver. It is recommended that you update to this driver even if you have purchased a unit after September 2002

    The PC version of this driver works with Win XP, Win 2000, Win ME, Win 98.

    To install the driver - Download and unzip the file. Please make note of where the files have been extracted to.

    Plug the Neo into your computer and go to your Control Panel ( Right click once over "My computer". This should bring up a context menu. Select Properties from the context menu and go to "Device manager" Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus Controller and open it by clicking over the plus sign.

    Double click over the Scanlogic driver ( USB2IDE ) and go to the "Driver" tab. Choose "update driver". Click "Automatic search for a better driver ( on Win 98 ) or Specify the location of the driver (Win ME) and choose the browse to point to the folder you have downloaded the new drivers. Select the new TPP driver.
